BEIJING, Sept. 26, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- New Oriental Education and Technology Group Inc. (the "Company" or "New Oriental") (NYSE: EDU), the largest provider of private educational services in China, today announced that the Board of Directors has appointed Mr. Chenggang Zhou as the Company's Executive President for Domestic Business, effective immediately. In this new role, Mr. Zhou will be responsible for the Company's overall business operations in China.
Mr. Chenggang Zhou has served as Executive Vice President overseeing all of the Company's schools, language training and the test preparation business as well as the overseas consulting business since December 2006 and he has been a member of the Board of Directors since November 2010. Mr. Zhou joined New Oriental in 2000 and served as President of Shanghai New Oriental School from 2000 to 2003, President of Beijing New Oriental School from 2003 to 2007 and President of New Oriental's overseas consultancy subsidiaries since 2008.
