(NYSE: EDU), the largest provider of private educational services in China, today announced that it has filed its annual report Form 20-F for the fiscal year ended May 31, 2008 with the Securities and Exchange Commission on October 23, 2008. The annual report can be accessed on New Oriental's investor relations website at http://investor.neworiental.org . New Oriental will provide a hard copy of the annual report containing its audited consolidated financial statements, free of charge, to its shareholders and ADS holders upon request.

In compliance with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, New Oriental's management conducted an evaluation of the effectiveness of the company's internal control over financial reporting and concluded that the company's internal control over financial reporting was effective as of the end of the company's fiscal year ended May 31, 2008. In addition, New Oriental's independent registered public accounting firm attested the company's internal control over financial reporting in accordance with the standards of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (United States) and reported that New Oriental maintained effective internal control over financial reporting as of May 31, 2008.
